ASSISTANT PROFESSOR POSITION IN APPLIED STATISTICS

The Department of Mathematics and Statistics at San Diego State University invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Applied Statistics starting in Fall 2008. Candidates must have a PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, or a closely related field and demonstrate evidence of excellent teaching ability and outstanding research potential.  Focused research areas include but are not limited to environmental and climate statistics, computational statistics, biostatistics, and actuarial science.  We request that application and support materials, including (1) cover letter, (2) curriculum vitae, (3) research description, and (4) three letters of recommendation, be sent to:
